The Dyer Media Center is equipped with 24 networked, desktop workstations. Like the computers in the labs, the media center computers provide Internet access and are subject to the same policies regarding student usage as the lab computers are.
In this regard, The Dyer Elementary Student Handbook states the following:
"The Internet is used for academic purposes only. Students must have a signed permission slip, from a parent (Acceptable Use Policy-AUP) in order to use the Internet. Students may go to sites designated by the teacher and are responsible for following teachers' instructions. Failure to use the Internet properly may result in the loss of Internet privileges."
